After a scrappy start, Broomwood took the lead (10mins) after their giant CM challenged for a cross with Callum D, skimmed of his attempted punch & into back of the net. 2nd half, with Broomwood 4-5-1 sitting deep & looking to capitalise on their long throws & corners (which Callum D now had the measure of) & renewed hope equalised (48mins) & were battling to get a result, but with the slope advantage their attacks became limited as again we looked to take control & with Sahil putting their defence under constant pressure, Callum B went close with a 30yd dipping volley only inches over the bar, then Gabriel hitting the cross-bar from 20yds, Thomas`s free kick going narrowly wide, but on 70 mins we were awarded a penalty which Thomas drilled into the bottom corner to seal a hard fought deserved victory played in a good manner by both teams.
