U15s L 2-6 (ht 2-4) v Independent (H)
Our 100% record run finally broken by our main rivals for the title Independent FC on a cold & wet November Saturday.
Kicking up hill first half saw us go 2 nil down halfway through the half,
Thomas Cullen`s close range header from Joel`s cross saw us pull one back, but a few minutes later a defensive lapse saw us 3-1 down. shortly before half time Thomas`s free kick put us back in the game, only for another defensive lapse moments later letting in Independent to make it 2-4 moments later just before half time.
With downhill advantage 2nd half our confidence was shook by an early counter attack making it 2-5. We finally started to string some good pass & move attacks but too often blazed over the bar, before another counter attack making it 2-6 saw our winning run come to an end.
We played ok, but 3 or 4 of our players did not fancy the physicality of the game. Everyone played well enough but too many individual errors were punished & we were not clinical enough in punishing theirs. This needs to be rectified as next week as we play away in the London FA Cup to AFA Nasaa.
