Man of match: Robert Sloane
Very competitive match this weekend against Independant. Hot day and again faced a side with 3 subs so plenty of rolling on and off for them. The first half started a bit scrappy but soon evolved in to better phases of play. we had a lot of chances with the ball going everywhere but in the back of the net.
The second half saw a relatively even number of chances for both teams. The defence (Alvaro, Robert and Nicholas) played really well and stopped numerous counter attacks from independant. The wingers (Xavier and Finn) worked hard up and down the pitch and midfield (Ugo and Oscar) were combative and stood up well to challenges. The boys kept their heads and dug in. Ethan did well up front making some good runs but we just couldn’t get the ball in to the back of the net and come out with a win
