Dear CRFC Parents & Members
New Season Plans, Sponsorship and Volunteers Request
We hope everyone has been enjoying a great start to the summer. We are getting touch to provide an update on plans for next season and to share details of sponsorship opportunities and a request for volunteer members to help with the running of the club.
In recent weeks the club has been preparing for another successful season of football. Player registrations are being sent out via the Spond app so please look out for those. Unfortunately the rising costs of running the club, the cost of pitches, training venues and referees, has meant we have had to increase. Even with the increase in our fees we will still rely on sponsors and generous donations to cover the full cost of our annual operations. In the past season the club supported a record number of bursaries as we worked hard to support the local community in these challenging times. We are keen to provide all members with another season of great service and also to continue the high level of support to the community as we work to deliver on our charitable goals.
The club has identified the following targets for the coming season:
Targets for 2023/24
- Invest in coaching, equipment and match day pitches to improve the quality of the football experience
- Launch diversity initiatives:
- Offer Clapham Rangers outreach to deprived schools, providing a pathway into the club.
- Establish an enhanced football offer for girls from development to match playing squads
- Grow the financial assistance available to current and prospective members.
- Increase older years engagement to retain players into the senior age groups U12 to U16
Sponsorship Opportunities & Donations
As a charity we rely on the generosity of sponsors and parents to ensure we can provide top quality coaching and facilities to a wide range of boys and girls in our community. The club needs to secure more funds and so we are looking for additional sponsors to come on board this season. CRFC provides local businesses with great opportunities to drive awareness, via shirt sponsorship and coverage on our website and social media channels. Volunteers Request
The club is run by a team of volunteer committee members, two part time admin staff, Cole and Treena, plus our dedicated coaches and our wonderful parent team coordinators. At this time we are looking for volunteers, either parents or other interested local members of the local community to join the committee. We are also looking for some additional trustees of the charity as well as a new chair for the committee to take over from September. Anyone keen to contribute, ideally with some experience in running sports clubs or charities please contact info@claphamrangers.com .
