Match Summary:

Spoils shared in a top of the table clash in Barnes with both sides having opportunities to win. Clapham hit highs and lows, looking at one point like running away with the game then eventually recovering to grab a point against a very well-organised and committed opposition.

First half:

ProFA started much the better side, getting their passing going and pressing with more intent than the visitors. Colts struggled to settle but chances were few and far between. Joel managed to get free following a good ball from Ruban F, shooting just over, and ProFA hit the bar with a free-kick.

Second half:

Clapham started with a much better sense of urgency, closing down more quickly and driving forward with more precision, forcing a good early save from a Hugo follow-up to a Jahvarn shot. They were rewarded with a quick two goals when another Jahvarn cross was converted on the right by Hugo. Jahvarn doubled the lead soon after, hitting low into the corner with his right following a couple of failed clearances from a corner.Β  The next fifteen minutes were very even on balance of play but ProFA managed to come up with three goals – the first from a great through-ball to their centre forward then an own goal and penalty took them into the lead. The penalty was very much ball-to-hand but the new rules meant it had to be given. Clapham rallied again and equalised five minutes from the end with a tremendous solo effort from Jahvarn, taking the ball out left, cutting inside to the centre of the pitch and unleashing a thumping right-foot shot into the top corner.
