Fundraiser For Coach Samson Séyí Famusan

One of our coaches Samson Séyí Famusan has this year been seriously unwell suffering from leukaemia and unable to work. During this time he has been undergoing debilitating treatment that has left him unable to work either as a coach or his main career as an architectural designer. CRFC has started a fundraising campaign for Samson to help him live more comfortably during this very difficult time and hope our club members will be able to dig deep and help out.

To donate please go to our campaign page on Just Giving where all the proceeds paid will go directly to the club accounts and be paid through entirely for Samson. Please donate and share this campaign. Many thanks CRFC

Samson Séyí Famusan

Last season Samson coached our under 14 team and was hugely popular for his dedication, enthusiasm, sense of humour and calm manner with the players. The team were really looking forward to Samson taking them again this season but it was not to be after he suffered a recurrence of the serious condition needing significant debilitating treatment including multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

Aside from coaching Samson is an architectural designer. He was born and lives locally in Wandsworth but has also spent time living in Nigeria where he maintains strong connections including through a charity he founded called the Ile Wa Foundation.  Ile Wa translates to ‘Our Home’  and its vision is to develop self-contained orphanages in rural communities.

The club is campaigning to raise much needed funds for Samson to help him live more comfortably while undergoing his treatment and make progress with his much hoped for full recovery. Without being able to work as a coach or to provide his architectural design services to clients it’s extremely tough for him to cover his living expenses and aid his recovery with additional medicines, good food etc.

So please dig deep and make a donation to this worthy cause today.
