Match Report:
The modern game requires a squad with strength in depth and a coach who really knows how to get the best out of all of his players, not just his starting nine.
With a pitch that didn’t lend itself to the high tempo, slick passing game the Juniors are becoming renowned for, today was a day for the whole squad to dig deep, work together and play to the final kick of the ball.
Coach Dylan made some bold substitutions at key moments to exploit all of the talents at his disposal and the mighty Juniors surged from being 2-0 down at half time to run out 6-5 winners for their first league victory.
Everyone played their part for the team selflessly, never let their heads drop and won through hard work and a never say die attitude that will stand them in good stead for the season ahead.
Special mentions to Arthur and Ryan in the engine room of centre midfield, Alfie for his tireless running on the left wing, Anatole for a fearless shift in goal, Kayleigh for leading the line, Bear for another strong display in defence and our Man of the Match Oskar for recovering from an early knock to put in his MoM performance.
