Match Summary

Clapham Rangers U12 Colts put in another strong performance on Saturday.  It was a game of accurate passing, creative football, bullet-proof defence and attacking play.  Gabriel was sorely missed in goal, but the team took turns to keep goal and between them, kept a clean sheet.

First Half

Clapham Rangers took to the pitch in 3-3-2 formation.  As always, the Clapham Rangers defence was strong.  Within 5 minutes, Clapham Rangers were 1-0 up after Hugo tapped in a magnificent cross from Wani.  Less than 5 minutes later, James made it 2-0, driving the ball into the goal with a lovely right foot kick.  Clapham Rangers were delivering a shower of shots on goal, making the most of every opportunity.  15 minutes into the match, Wani leapt up and headed the ball into the goal, scoring what has to be the most impressive goal this season.  Moments later, Wani scored again, making the scoreline 4-0.  Wani was quickly in action again, delivering a beautiful pass to Sidney, who drove the ball into the net.  Half Time Score was 5 – 0 to Clapham Rangers.

Second Half

After Half Time, Sporting Duet appeared to rally, and their goal keeper put in some impressive saves, against a relentless Clapham Rangers team.  With Sporting Duet playing a more defensive game, and space around the goal becoming crowded, Dakara struck a powerful and accurate long-range shot that found the back of the goal – a spectacular and well thought-through goal.   The score was 6-0.  Clapham Rangers continued to create opportunities, playing a creative and energetic game.  Sidney, capitalized on this and scored his second goal of the match.  Final score 7–0.
