Match Summary (By Nico Dykes)

There is nothing better than playing and watching a team that wins a match 5-0. This weekend we started off our Cup campaign against Bedhead Azzurri and what a way to start it.

The game started quickly with Bedhead having the first clear chance very early on but frankly that was their biggest chance of the match. From then on we dominated possession, tackles, pass conversion rate and that led to our first goal scored by Josh. And that goal set us up nicely for the rest of the match. Darren told us at the start to focus on putting our tackles in and boy did that advice pay off. Rob scored the second goal followed by a third from Dan just before the break.

The second half started slowly but the tempo sure rose when Rob slotted the ball calmly and deliberately past the keeper. Xavier had a great chance with a header but it hit the crossbar twice. The game ended with a great corner from Kamran and a goal from Josh.

Two great wins on the bounce – we go to our next games with our heads held high. Well played lads!
