It is with great excitement that we can announce the following pieces of Clapham Rangers FC Club news:
New Chairman
It gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment of Frank Trimboli as our new Chairman. Frank is Managing Director of Base Soccer Agents and has two sons playing with Clapham Rangers. We look forward to welcoming Frank to his new role and to introducing him to you at this Saturday’s Presentation Day. Gary has stepped down as Chairman and will now be able to concentrate on his new role as Director of Football.
New Vice Chairman
I am very pleased to also confirm that Sana Ullah has accepted to be the Club’s Vice Chairman. Sana also has two boys who play with Clapham Rangers.
Launch of New Committee
I’d like to thank all those who have kindly offered their support by putting themselves forward for various roles and responsibilities in response to my earlier cry for help! By the end of this week, I will have emailed all those who got back to me, confirming the roles we would like you to take on. If ANY of you are able to offer us help in ANY other way, now is your time to speak up! We will be launching the new committee at an informal drinks evening on Monday 20th June at 7pm in the upstairs room of the Avalon Pub, on Balham High Road. Please let me know how you can help and whether you would like to attend the drinks. The main areas where we are missing volunteers are: Club General Secretary, Website design and maintenance, Social Media coordinator, Saturday morning development session coordinator(s), club photographer. I hope to be able to confirm a full committee in the next couple of weeks.
Donations
It is no secret that Clapham Rangers FC has been under some financial pressure over the last 18 months. Unfortunately it has not been possible to erode the full deficit within one Season. Thanks to the very generous donations from two parents (who wish to remain anonymous), the club can now finish the season in the black and put on an impressive Presentation Day this Saturday. These donations will enable the club to start next Season on an even keel and give us a little more time to find Sponsorship for next Season. It is fantastic to see how supportive our parents continue to be. A huge THANK YOU.
New Slogan Competition
CONGRATULATIONS to Angus Heritage of this Season’s U9 Youths team who came up with the winning new slogan: Clapham Rangers FC – South London’s Finest. The prize is a pair of football tickets. The slogan will be visible for all to see on our new banner at this Saturday’s Presentation Day! Well-done Angus!
