The Under 7 Colts opened their season with a match against Wandsworth Premier on Clapham Common coming away with a resounding 13-0 Win.
Goal scorers were Theo Tabraham (6), Anand Batra (2), Kit Hemmings (1), Roan Kennedy (1), Wilbur Knight (1), Nathias Tyerman Jones (1), and Jasper Pestonji (1) . Man of the Match was Theo Tabraham.
Dominating possession from kick off, it wasn’t long before Clapham got themselves in front and from then there was no looking back. 5-0 up at half time, they went into the break full of confidence. Not letting up after the interval, they continued to press forward at every opportunity and finished the match 13-0 winners.
Considering that this was the season’s opener, the boys demonstrated great awareness for each other on the pitch and some of the passing was excellent. The outstanding performance was from Theo Tabraham, who scored a double hat trick and was judged man of the match. A special mention also to Luca Hyde, our goalkeeper, who had to maintain his concentration during a quiet game for him but when called upon was his usual assured self and ensured that we came away with a clean sheet.
